These Terms and Conditions govern your membership and use of Crumbs Club benefits. Please read them carefully before joining.

By joining the Crumbs Club, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Membership Overview

• The Crumbs Club is a monthly subscription program operated by Jane and Patrick Curtis trading as St Mawes Bakery.
  
  
• Membership is available to individuals aged 18 or over who reside in the UK.
  
  
• The membership fee is £6 per calendar month, payable by recurring monthly payment or in one yearly lump sum.
  
  

2. Member Benefits

As a Crumbs Club member, you will receive:

• 10% discount on all in-store purchases at St Mawes Bakeries shop located at The Quay, St Mawes, Truro, TR2 5DW.
  
  
• One free coffee with each qualifying purchase (purchase can be of any value).
  
  
• St Mawes Bakery will donate £1 each month to a chosen charity for every active Crumbs Club member.
  
  

These benefits are subject to a fair use policy, as detailed below.

3. Minimum Commitment Period

• Membership is subject to a 12-month minimum commitment.
  
  
• Early cancellation before the end of the minimum term may result in the remaining balance being charged unless cancellation is due to a valid consumer right (e.g., misrepresentation, material change, etc.).
• Your membership will automatically renew at the end of the first 12-months for another 12-months unless you cancel it.
  
  

4. Fair Use and Benefit Cap

• Crumbs Club benefits are intended for personal, reasonable use only.
  
  
• St Mawes Bakery reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where benefits are being abused or used fraudulently.
  
  
• An annual cap of £1,000 in total benefits per member per calendar year applies. Members may be notified if they approach this cap.
  
  

5. Named Member and Non-Transferability

• Membership and associated benefits are non-transferable and may only be used by the named individual on the account.
  
  
• You may be asked to show valid identification at the point of redemption.
  
  

6. Changes to Terms or Benefits

• St Mawes Bakery reserves the right to modify or withdraw any part of the Crumbs Club offering, including pricing, benefits, or terms.
  
  
• You will be given at least 30 days’ written notice of any such changes via email or your registered contact method.
  
  
• During this notice period, you may cancel your membership without penalty, even if within the 12-month minimum term.
  
  

7. Cancellation and Termination

7.1 Your Right to Cancel:

• You may cancel by providing at least 14 days’ notice via email or in person before the end of your current contract period.
  
  
• If you cancel during the 30-day notice period after a change in terms, no penalties apply.
  
  

7.2 Our Right to Terminate:

• We may terminate your membership with immediate effect if:
  
  
• Payment fails and is not remedied within 14 days.
  
  
• You breach these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
  
  
• You misuse your benefits or exceed the fair use limits repeatedly.
  
  

8. Payment and Renewals

• Membership renews automatically each month.
  
  
• Payments are collected via the method you provide at signup.
  
  
• If your payment fails, your membership and benefits may be suspended until payment is resolved.
  
  

9. Liability

• St Mawes Bakery will not be liable for any failure to fulfil benefits due to events outside our reasonable control (e.g., force majeure, technical outages).
  
  
• Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

St Mawes bakery Crumbs club (formerly PLUS) data protection policy 

1. We store our customers’ first name, last name (optional) and email address or phone number as part of our St Mawes bakery plus scheme.
2. A customer’s name is only used to check the validity of their membership and a customer’s email/ phone number is only used to contact them about their membership (not for marketing beyond a regular members report). 
3. Data will be retained for the length of a customer's membership. 
4. We do not sell data to third parties. 
5. We will only use your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection laws.
6. By joining, you consent to receiving transactional emails related to your membership.
