Today brought some exciting news for all of us at St Mawes Bakery.

Today brought some exciting news for all of us at St Mawes Bakery.

We were absolutely delighted to learn that we had been nominated for Family Business of the Year at the Cornwall’s Rewind Radio Business Awards. These awards celebrate the incredible businesses that make Cornwall such a vibrant and inspiring place, recognising those who contribute to their communities and industries in meaningful ways.

As a fourth-generation family business, this nomination means a great deal to us. Family is at the heart of everything we do, from the recipes we use to the way we work together every day. For over 100 years, St Mawes Bakery has been part of the local community, creating handmade baked goods using quality ingredients and traditional methods that have been passed down through generations.

Our story is very much a family one. From Jane and Pat at the centre of the bakery, to the next generation continuing to shape its future, we are proud to carry on a legacy that has stood the test of time while still embracing new ideas and opportunities.

While we may not have taken home the award this year, being nominated alongside so many fantastic businesses is something we are incredibly proud of. It’s a real honour to be recognised, and a reminder of why we do what we do.

Most importantly, we want to say a heartfelt thank you, to our team, our family, and our wonderful customers. Your continued support is what makes everything possible.

Here’s to family, community, and many more years of baking together.
