Jam First or Cream First? The Debate is Back (And We Know Which Side We're On!)
Share
It's the age-old question that has divided two neighbouring counties for generations...
Jam first or cream first?
Here in Cornwall, there really is only one correct answer; jam first, then cream. It's the Cornish way, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Over the border in Devon, however, they insist on putting the cream on first. We'll let them have their opinion... even if we all know it's the wrong one!
We know we've talked about this great debate before, but we're bringing it up again for two very good reasons.
The Crumbs Club is Back!
On Wednesday 15th July, we're excited to relaunch our Crumbs Club, giving you even more reasons to pop in for your favourite treats.
For just £10 per month, you'll receive:
A coffee on us with any purchase every month.
Exclusive monthly offers and member-only treats.
The knowledge that £1 from your monthly membership is donated directly to Cornwall Hospice, helping support the incredible work they do across Cornwall.
Whether you're a regular visitor or looking for an excuse to enjoy more freshly baked goodies, Crumbs Club is a delicious way to treat yourself while supporting a fantastic local charity.

Celebrate with a £5 Cream Tea
To celebrate the relaunch, we're offering our delicious Cornish Cream Teas for just £5 on Wednesday 15th July, between 10am and 4pm.
Even better, 50p from every cream tea sold will be donated to Cornwall Hospice, so every scone enjoyed helps make a difference.
Just remember... if you're ordering one, we'll be serving it the proper Cornish way:
Jam first. Cream second.
Supporting The Great Cornish Cream Tea
Our celebration also helps raise awareness of another fantastic event taking place this September; The Great Cornish Cream Tea, Cornwall Hospice's annual fundraising campaign.
Every year, thousands of people across Cornwall and beyond gather friends, family and colleagues to enjoy a cream tea while raising vital funds for hospice care. This year's event is aiming to be the biggest yet, and we'd love to see as many people as possible get involved.

Which Side Are You On?
So, we'll leave you with the question once again...
Are you Team Cornwall (jam first) or Team Devon (cream first)?
Pop into the bakery on 15th July, enjoy a £5 cream tea, celebrate the return of Crumbs Club, support Cornwall Hospice, and let us know where your loyalties lie.
We think we already know the correct answer...
