Celebrating Cornwall’s Local Heritage

Celebrating Cornwall’s Local Heritage

As locals and holidaymakers alike flock to the Royal Cornwall Show this week to discover everything our wonderful county has to offer, we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate our own local connections and proud Cornish heritage.

As a family-run bakery, we have been part of the St Mawes community for over 100 years. Our bakery is located less than two minutes from our shop, allowing us to bake fresh products daily and serve them at their very best.

We are passionate about using local, high-quality ingredients wherever possible. Our steak is sourced from RJ Trevarthen in nearby Penryn, while many of our other ingredients come from trusted Cornish producers, including Davidstow cheese, Cornish sea salt, Cornish sausage meat, and locally made jams and creams.

Supporting local suppliers not only helps strengthen Cornwall’s economy and sustain local businesses, but it also reduces food miles and lowers our carbon footprint. Most importantly, we believe it results in exceptional flavour that you can truly taste.

If you're visiting St Mawes this summer, why not pop into our shop on the quay and experience the taste of Cornwall for yourself? We look forward to welcoming you.
